There are little moments where a parent realizes they must be doing something right after all. I had one last night while I was putting my oldest to bed. I stubbed my toe in the dark and immediately heard her gasp and say “You ok Daddy?” After aren’t her I was ok and saying goodnight, I was struck by the meaning of that small exchange.
- It means that wifey and I have cultivated an environment where people look out for each other
- It means that in our house, we’re mindful and compassionate
- It means my daughter doesn’t want me to experience pain
My heart is warm right now.
(Either that, or she was imitating something she saw on TV. Ya know)
