Apple Expected to Reveal News Subscription Service

According to the new report, the Cupertino based company is preparing a subscription-focused event to unveil a new service.

BuzzFeed reports that Apple is planning to hold an event on March 25, its first of 2019.

Smartphone makers are scrambling for ways to increase revenue now that they have realized consumers are not interested in buying new $1,000 devices every single year, or even every two years. The platform will be home to Apple's original television shows and movies, as well as, reportedly, other subscription services like HBO and Starz that will be added in the future.

As with any rumor, we can't be 100% sure if it's true, and with no firm indication from Apple, we can only speculate about a release date for the Apple AirPods 2. The service could be around $10 per month, similar to Apple Music, but the cost hasn't been finalized yet. Paid subscriptions though the iOS news app could roll out as early as March 25.

United Nations chief willing to broker end to Venezuela crisis
But anti-Maduro street protests have come and gone, and large-scale military defections have failed to materialise. Guaido, meanwhile, said on Monday that the first shipment of the humanitarian aid had already been received.

However, this is already proving extremely controversial. Another is Apple's supposed desire to get a minimum of one year of content from some publishers; some of the potential partners reportedly want more flexibility to leave the service. The Washington Post didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. In fact, the service now has 85 million monthly active users and is the biggest news app in the US.

While the look and feel of the new Apple AirPods 2 won't be very different from the AirPods, Apple is likely to be making some other changes within the gadget.

There are also exclusive features belonging to the wireless charging accessory but it is said to be available for iPhones running iOS 13, an update which will release this year. According to Bloomberg, unnamed sources are saying Apple will also announce its rumoured video subscription service, in an effort to rival the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Once again, the source mentions that there will be no new hardware during the event.

"We believe there will be another event in April at which point we expect iPad and product announcements to be launched".
