Two of the candidates, center-guard Kevin Mawae and guard Steve Hutchinson, were both drafted by the Seahawks, while the other two, running back Edgerrin James and coach Tom Flores, made their name elsewhere before capping off their careers in the Emerald City.

He was eliminated in the cutdown from 25 to 15 in his first time on the ballot previous year.

Flores won two Super Bowls with the 1980 Oakland Raiders and the 1983 Los Angeles Raiders.

Reed, an 11-year vet with the Ravens and Texans, was named to nine Pro Bowls, five All-Pro teams and was the 2004 AP Defensive Player of the Year.

Champ Bailey, Ed Reed, Tony Gonzalez among finalists for Pro Football HOF

Former Pittsburgh Steelers guard Alan Faneca is among the 15 modern-era finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's class of 2019. Coryell was a first-time modern era finalist in 2010.

A first-round draft pick of the Chiefs in 1997, Gonzalez went into the team's Ring of Honor in a ceremony at halftime of the Chiefs' 29-28 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium on December 13. Part of the NFL's all-decade team for the 2000s, Hutchinson worked alongside Jones, center Robbie Tobeck, right guard Chris Gray, and right tackle Sean Locklear to pave the way for Shaun Alexander's MVP season in 2005, when the Seahawks running back rushed for 1,880 yards, averaged 5.1 yards per carry, and scored 28 touchdowns, which was then an National Football League record. Considered one of the game's best cover cornerbacks, he had a career-high 10 interceptions in 2006.

Hopefully, we will get to see Zach Thomas in the Pro Football Hall of Fame before then. Those two years closed out a marvelous career in which Bruce reeled in 1,024 catches for 15,208 yards and 91 touchdowns. Over his career, Reed had 64 interceptions for 1,590 return yards and seven touchdowns.

Gonzalez, who spent five seasons in Atlanta from 2009-13, would be a first-ballot Hall of Famer if he is voted in this year.
