Cyber Sale

Consumer spent more than $250 million on Nintendo products this sale season, crowning Nintendo Switch to have a best-selling week in the States.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday have come and gone, but Cyber Week game deals continue, giving you a chance to save money on gifts for others (or yourself) as we head into the holidays.

Nintendo Switch hardware sales grew 115 percent compared to the same period in 2017.

Elsewhere, the SNES Classic surpassed 2.5 million in lifetime sales over the holidays, while the NES Classic eased past the 2 million sales mark.

Upon launch a year ago, Super Mario Odyssey received plaudits from fans and critics alike, shifting console units and eventually becoming the best-selling Switch release on a global scale, having sold some 12 million copies. Overall, it was an overwhelming sales season for Nintendo and its consumers.

Sales of first-party games, including digital downloads, topped 1 million units November 22-26, beating 2017's totals by 78 percent.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday might be in the rearview mirror, but that doesn't mean the deals are entirely behind us. eBay just launched a staggeringly good discount code that slashes 15% off nearly everything on its auction site. The Switch's latest big-name games are also doing well - Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee have already sold 1.5 million units, and Super Mario Party has managed to suprass the 1 million unit mark.
