Kevin Faulk involved in on-field scuffle after LSU, Texas A&M game

It took seven overtime periods but the Texas A&M Aggies took down the LSU Tigers 74-72 in the highest-scoring game in FBS history

But the interception would be reviewed, and ultimately, overturned, leaving Texas A&M with fourth-and-18 to convert with the game on the line.

LSU initially thought they had won the game in regulation, even dumping Gatorade on head coach Ed Orgeron, but a review gave the Aggies the chance comeback. It wasn't immediately known if the guy was a fan or one of the assistants on the team.

The 146 combined points are the most in an FBS game in NCAA history and the second-most in college football history behind the 161 points Abilene Christian and West Texas A&M scored in Abilene Christian's 93-68 win in 2008.

A spokesperson for the school said a man in a red shirt punched former LSU offensive coordinator Steve Kragthorpe in the chest.

LSU's final possession resulted in a 10-yard touchdown run by quarterback Joe Burrow, giving the Tigers a 72-66 lead in the seventh overtime.

Fourth overtime: Teams trade field goals, 52-52. By the time things ended, the Aggies came out on top.

Fifth overtime: Teams trade touchdowns, missed two-point attempts, 58-58.

While both Joe Burrow and Kellen Mond have had impressive performances throughout this game, their abilities both as passers and runners were on full display in overtime.

Mond threw for 287 yards and a career-high six touchdowns while rushing for 42 yards and a touchdown in a 74-72 victory in seven overtimes against the No. 8 LSU Tigers.

Photos and video surfaced online of a post-game skirmish between apparent members of the Tigers and the Aggies.
