Mac Miller’s Death Ruled Accidental Overdose; Fentanyl, Cocaine Found In Rapper’s System

Mac Miller

The Coroner ruled his death an accidental overdose due to mixed drug toxicity.

The musician had fentanyl, cocaine and ethanol in his system, according to a toxicology report. His death was categorized as an accidental overdose, TMZ reported.

The report said that Miller's assistant found him unresponsive on his bed in a "praying position" and was kneeling forward with his face on his knees. Someone in the home called 911 on Friday around noon and the call came in as a "cardiac arrest", as it seems that the person who found him didn't realize that he was already dead.

There was a 1/4-inch abrasion on the bridge of his nose, and there was blood coming out of one nostril.

Just less than two months ago (September 7), MC/producer Mac Miller died at the age of 26 in his Studio City, California residence.

Meanwhile, an empty bottle of alcohol was near his body on a nightstand, with a bottle of prescription pills in the bathroom. He had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, but his mother told investigators he had not overdosed in the past to her knowledge, or been hospitalized for any reason.

Chance the Rapper, SZA and Miguel were among the artists to perform at a tribute concert at the weekend.

The singer Prince had taken fentanyl before his death in 2016. Days before his death, there were reports that he had broken up with his girlfriend, the singer Ariana Grande.
