White man shoots two black customers at Kentucky grocery, police say

Louisville, Kentucky police say people shot inside grocery store

A male suspect fatally shot a man and a woman at a Kroger grocery store on the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky, and then exchanged fire with an armed bystander before fleeing the scene, police said.

After releasing a photo of the suspect, authorities received a tip from an employee of the city of Jeffersontown who said he thought he saw Gregory Bush outside the First Baptist church prior to Wednesday's shooting, city police chief Sam Rogers said.

Despite all the damning evidence and accusations from witnesses, Bush, a 51-year-old white man, was amazingly arrested without incident.

Zinninger said the shooter casually walked towards his father in the parking lot and his father drew his gun and confronted the man from behind his auto.

Jeffersontown officials are expected to give an update on the investigation Thursday morning.

Mayor Greg Fischer said Thursday he's "sick and heartbroken" that two people were shot to death, and says the tragedy "hit close to home".

Stallard, 69, and Vickie Lee Jones, 67, were black.

Changing story again, Saudi Arabia says killing was planned
The Tadawul All-Shares Index (TASI) rose 4.3 percent to close trading on the last day of the week on 7,835.54 points. Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al Falih said on Wednesday: "It's not a death, it's a murder".

Palombino told the affiliate that the boy ran toward him.

"Thanks to the quick response of the local police department, the suspect was apprehended and our store is secure", Kroger said in a statement.

Moments later, he claimed that a man walked through the parking lot holding a gun by his side, when he pleaded with Harrell not to shoot him. "From too many of our leaders, the ones who have the power to make our country safer, our city safer, our schools and churches and groceries safer, they act as if nothing can be done".

Russell Coleman, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky, said Friday that federal investigators are looking into whether this broke federal law, and that includes hate crimes, according to The Associated Press.

"I can't speculate on motive at this time", the chief said at a news conference Thursday. Both the man and the woman died at the scene. "Can't we all agree that that is unacceptable?"

His criminal record showed he threatened his ex-wife and punched a deputy sheriff during a family court hearing a few years ago. The woman said her ex-husband was "paranoid and was put on medication" but discontinued the meds.

Gunshots also were heard inside the store. "I think she just got caught in the crossfire". A 2009 domestic violence conviction should have prevented him from legally possessing a firearm, WDRB reported.
