A couple in New Jersey raised about $400k for the people who had no homes to stay.

Badway did not account for the rest but told the judge that they are now preparing the accounting that will "show where the money went". The GoFundMe cash, Bobbitt suspected, had been squandered on vacations, a luxury auto and more than one addiction.

The couple told The Philadelphia Inquirer they gave Bobbitt some of the money but were withholding the rest until he got a job and was drug-free.

Contacted by Gizmodo, the couple's lawyer, Earnest Badway, declined the opportunity to comment on the latest developments.

Katelyn McClure and her boyfriend Mark D'Amico started an online fundraiser to help Bobbitt raise money.

Aspiring philanthropists Kate McClure and Mark D'Amico are in hot water after the $400,000 they raised in a GoFundMe campaign for a homeless man went missing.

In Superior Court on Wednesday, Judge Paula Dow ordered the couple to provide to the court by Friday afternoon documentation on how much of the donations has been spent, how it was used and what remains.

"With the money, I would like to get him first and last month's rent at an apartment, a reliable vehicle, and four-to-six months' worth of expenses", she wrote on the GoFundMe page during the campaign.

He sued them to try to recover the donated funds, but earlier this week, a lawyer for the couple said the money was gone.

WTA calls for equal treatment of players, on-court coaching
The point penalty was followed by a game penalty, after Williams confronted Ramos, and labelled him a "thief". Appearing on ESPN , Adams also claimed there are double standards in terms of how umpires treat women and men.

Investigators suspect D'Amico and McClure squandered the donations for homeless veteran Johnny Bobbitt on vacations and shopping sprees. But that apparently didn't happen, and Bobbitt's attorney said he was told Tuesday there was no money to turn over.

"As of this time, there have been no charges filed", Coffina said in the statement Thursday morning.

The story initially led to appearances for Bobbitt and McClure on national TV programs as well as an interview by the BBC. "GoFundMe's goal has always been to ensure Johnny gets [the] support he deserves", Whithorne told the Philadelphia Inquirer, "We'll continue to assist with the ongoing law enforcement investigation".

"You should advise your clients that they are directed by the court to appear, and they can assert their privileges at that time", Dow said, as quoted by ABC 7 Chicago.

In court on Thursday, the couple agreed to let a forensic accountant open up their books to see where those fundraising dollars were deposited.

However, Chris Fallon, an attorney for Bobbitt, says that instead of a house, McClure and D'Amico bought his client a trailer, registered under McClure's name, and parked it on her family's land.

Fallon, Bobbitt's attorney, told the judge he would ask the New Jersey rehab center whether it is possible for Bobbitt to give his deposition from the facility.

But the camper, the SUV and most of the other things he got after the GoFundMe campaign are gone.
