Kevin Spacey, Anthony Anderson and Steven Seagal escape sex crimes charges

Sex assault case against Kevin Spacey dropped by Los Angeles prosecutors

Los Angeles prosecutors said on Tuesday they did not plan to file sexual assault charges in three separate cases targeting actors Kevin Spacey, Steven Seagal and Anthony Anderson.

Spacey has been accused of sexual misconduct and assault by multiple men, including several who were minors at the time.

The LA County DA's office, which announced a new sexual assault task force in 2017, reportedly has "one more case to review involving Seagal" as well as another involving Spacey.

Both men are still facing investigation by the task force for separate alleged cases of sexual assault that are now being reviewed to see if they'll stand up in court.

It's not unsurprising given that Spacey and Cards parted ways after sexual misconduct claims against the actor surfaced last fall.

Prosecutors also declined to charge Anderson, best-known as the father in TV sitcom Black-ish, after a woman reported to police that she had been raped and sexually abused earlier this year by the actor.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Anderson "unequivocally" disputed the woman's claims.

Anderson's accusation, on the other hand, dates from as recent as early 2018, but given that "the reporting party declined to be interviewed by the investigating officer", it can not be proven in court.

Lastly, Anderson will not be prosecuted following assault claims brought against him by an unidentified woman, who claimed the actor assaulted her while meeting for a business opportunity, according to The Blast.

Police in London are investigating six criminal cases against him. The victim was 18 years old at the time. Ridley Scott also removed Spacey from his role in All the Money in the World and reshot parts of the film with Christopher Plummer as a replacement.
