Singer Demi Lovato awake after suspected overdose - media reports

Demi Lovato Hospitalized for Heroin Overdose

Demi Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital for an apparent drug overdose on Tuesday morning.

This past March, the 25-year-old celebrated six years of sobriety, sharing the news on Instagram and Twitter, but a few months later she released the piano ballad "Sorry", which alluded to her relapse in its heartbreaking lyrics.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said paramedics received a call about a woman in need of medical attention at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday.

Emergency workers transported a 25-year-old to a local hospital, the LAFD spokeswoman said.

Entertainment news website TMZ, quoting law enforcement sources, reported that Lovato was found unconscious at her home and was treated with Narcan, an emergency antidote for suspected opioid and drug overdoses. She is now being treated and her condition is not yet known, TMZ reports. "And daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor", Lovato sang.

Lovato's landed a role on the Disney series "Sonny with a Chance" in 2009, and she became one of the network's brightest young stars.

She has said: "I felt out of control with the coke the first time that I did it", adding, however, that she grew to "love it".

Coast Guards set to raise sunken duck boat at Table Rock Lake
Even as the swells grew, she and her family didn't feel fear, and the crew, she says, never told them to put on the life jackets. Duck boats are amphibious vessels that travel on both land and water, and are popular among tourists in major cities.

"I think love is love".

Lovato's show in Atlantic City, New Jersey was set to take place on Thursday but has been cancelled. Lines in the song include, "I'm sorry that I'm here again". She had seven top-20 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 list.

At this time nothing has been confirmed, but fans are probably aware that the star opened up about her relapse during her tour.

Several Hollywood celebrities, such Lady Gaga, Ellen DeGeneres and Ariana Grande, among others took to social media to support the singer after the possible overdose.

That is when her management team informed her that if she did not get sober they would no longer keep her as a client.

"I went on a bender of like, two months where I was using daily", Lovato said.

'Like all of you I am thinking of @DDLovato right now, ' he shared to his 9.9 million followers.
