Zimbabwe vs Pakistan - Highlights & Stats

The comprehensive win against Zimbabwe by a margin of 5-0 helped Pakistan surpass its arch-rival India in the list of teams winning most 5-match ODI series with all over winning margin.

Ahmed looked ahead to the six-team Asia Cup in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in September. At one point, it appeared as if Imam and Fakhar Zaman would repeat their triple century partnership heroics after making a similar start.

The opener has bettered Windies great Sir Vivian Richards, England's Kevin Pietersen and Jonathan Trott, compatriot Babar Azam and South Africa's Quinton de Kock, who reached 1,000 runs in 18 knocks.

They took the score to 168 in the 25th over before Zaman was caught behind for 85. The boundaries did dry up for a few overs post the dismissal but Imam at the other end was in his elements again to bring up his third hundred of the series - a feat that only got overshadowed by Zaman's heroics.

It was Pakistan's higest-ever One-Day total and during the match Zaman also was involved in a record 304-run opening stand with partner Imam-ul-Haq, who too accomplished a century.

"I really enjoyed it", Zaman said of his brilliant run in the series. "I'll work hard and hopefully you'll see me scoring more runs for my country".

On a morning for batsmen, Imam-ul-Haq went on to reach his third century of the series, and though Shoaib Malik and Asif Ali fell cheaply, the carnage continued with Babar Azam then racing to a century of his own from 72 deliveries, his second fifty haven taken just 17 balls.

In response, Zimbabwe showed much more stickability with the bat than in the first four games of the series.

Despite the middle and lower order batsmen getting little chance to bat, Sarfraz was pleased with the way young players performed. They did manage to put in perhaps their best showing of the series so far in the final ODI but even that wasn't enough to avert another thumping loss.

Zimbabwe captain Hamilton Masakadza and Tinashe Kamunhukamwe both made 34 runs each and shared a 66-run first-wicket stand before falling in successive overs.
