British royals release new photos to mark Prince Louis’s christening

"The photographs were taken by Matt Holyoak at Clarence House, following Prince Louis' christening", the palace tweeted.

The Royal Family released a number of official photographs to mark the milestone, which show Prince William and Kate with George, Charlotte and Louis.

William and Kate were joined at the event by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The Middleton family including Kate's sister Pippa Matthews and her husband James, are also included in the photos, which were taken in the morning room and garden at Clarence House.

On Monday, July 9th Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge was baptised into the Church of England with his immediate family and godparents surrounding him.

The official Prince Louis christening portraits are here and we can't stop looking at them.

After the ceremony, the royals and their loved ones set off for a spot of tea and cake at Clarence House, where renowned portrait photographer, Matt Holyoak, took the special photos. One shows only members of the royal family, with Charlotte holding her baby brother's tiny hand.

Members of the royal family appear in another photo without the Middletons, a third photo features the Cambridge five and the fourth photo is an image of just Kate and Louis.

'Everyone was so relaxed and in such good spirits, it was an absolute pleasure.

Prince Louis was born on April 23 and is the youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Louis' great-grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, were unable to attend the christening.

'I only hope I have captured some of that joy in my photographs'.

Cape Town - What's a royal occasion without another set of adorable family snaps?

In another one of the photos, Louis is awake and looks at Kate adorably, and the bond between mother and son can not be mistaken.

Two years later, Mario Testino - a favourite photographer of the late Princess Diana - stepped behind the lens for Princess Charlotte's christening.
