Zsa Zsa, the English bulldog, wins World's Ugliest Dog title

Given that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there's no doubt at least some beholders will find these dogs the prettiest of all.

The 30th World's Ugliest Dog Contest took place this weekend and there were some outstanding entries.

Zsa Zsa won the title Saturday night at the Sonoma-Marin Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma.

An English bulldog who has muscular, rounded front legs and an underbite has been crowned the World's Ugliest Dog.

A nine-year-old English bulldog has been named this year's World's Ugliest Dog at a contest in California.

Zsa Zsa's owner, Megan Brainard of Anoka, MN will get an impressive $1, 500 for the win and of course, bragging rights for her precious pooch!

Himisaboo, Chinese Crested and Dachshund mix, struts her stuff during the World's Ugliest Dog Contest. The bulldog and her owner, Megan Brainard, couldn't be happier. She was almost blind from neglect when she was rescued in Sonoma County, California.

Ms Brainard will now receive $1,500 for Zsa Zsa's win.

Wild Thang, a two year old Pekingese, at the 2018 World's Ugliest Dog contest. The pup was attended to by a glam squad, who painted her nails pink for the event and was elegantly dressed in a matching sparkly collar by an unnamed designer.

If you look at this dog and don't immediately want to take her home and give her the happy, comfortable life she deserves, then we can't be friends.

"She's just so ugly, she's handsome", Ms Brainard told the New York Times.

Last year's victor was a 125-pound (57-kilogram) gentle giant named Martha - a Neopolitan Mastiff with gas and a droopy face. It took several surgeries before she was able to see again.
