Kim Kardashian Teaches Alice Marie Johnson How to Use Snapchat

Joint appearance Kardashian and Johnson are scheduled to appear on NBC's Today show together this Thursday June 14

During their first interview together, Johnson admitted she didn't know who Kardashian West was when she became involved in her case.

"Going through this experience, I now have a different outlook on things and you know, I'm willing to say and do whatever I can to help with prison reform because it's so important".

"To me, Kim does not seem like a celebrity, she seems like a friend", Johnson told Mic in a video interview just hours before meeting Kardashian West. "And everyone was amazed and I was amazed too".

"We cried, maybe, on the phone for, like, three minutes straight", an emotional Kardashian West told CNN, recounting her advocacy for Johnson and her role in Trump's decision to grant her clemency.

Kim Kardashian has met the woman she freed from prison, Alice Marie Johnson, for the first time - and she instantly taught her about the magic of Snapchat filters.

Johnson's case caught the attention of Kardashian West, who first tweeted to her 60 million followers that her sentence was "so unfair".

Kardashian West met with Trump last month to plead for a pardon for Alice Marie Johnson.

'It was wonderful. I'm so glad that she was the one who was able to deliver the news to me. Trump granted clemency to Johnson on June 6, a week after the White House meeting. "But I enjoy this", she said.

Kanye West & Kid Cudi Are Moving Forward On New Song "Reborn"
In true West fashion, the listening session was shrouded in mystery up until the day of the event. Most notably, it appears André 3000 worked alongside Boogz, Kanye , and Cudi on "Fire".

"People have been asking me, 'Are you getting into politics?' and no, I'm still doing me", she noted.

"Thank you is not big enough", said Johnson during the "Today" show interview filmed at her sister's house in Tennessee.

"I know that you have compassion for women like this", she recalled saying.

She said she is now focused on the future - and wants to bring attention to other people who were in similar situations to her.

Ms Johnson was convicted in 1996 for her part in a cocaine trafficking operation involving more than a dozen people. "I think this is just opening the door". "This has fulfilled my heart and so since I feel so fulfilled, why would I stop that?"

"He could have selected someone less controversial than myself", she said.

Meanwhile, Johnson's life was suddenly intertwined with one of the most famous stars in the world-one she had never heard of before.
