Twitter reacts to Steph Curry setting NBA Finals record

Klay Thompson expects to play in Game 2 of NBA Finals with sore ankle

Steph Curry paced Golden State with 29 points, nine assists and six rebounds. Of course, if Curry ever loses his shooting stroke, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green will be there to pick up the slack.

Before the game, Warriors coach Steve Kerr refused to reveal his revised strategy following James' 51-point Game 1 assault that almost stole home-court advantage for the Cavaliers, but it didn't take a Rhodes Scholar to figure it out.

Curry missed four of the five 3-pointers he tried in the first quarter and then binge bulls-eyed three of four in the second quarter.

One play in particular perfectly sums up the Cavs' hopes in the Finals as James made an unbelievable cross-court pass that went mostly unnoticed because his teammates couldn't convert the play into points.

Game 3 is Wednesday night in Cleveland. DEVELOPING: This story will be updated.

McGee's five baskets through 26 minutes matched James' total. James produced 15 first-half points on 5-of-11 shooting with 7 rebounds and 8 assists. With just under eight minutes to go and the Cavs still within striking distance, Curry dribbled the ball through his legs to deke Kevin Love, but lost control of the ball and found himself moving on his heels, away from the rim.

After being released by the Lakers in February 2017, Calderon appeared set to join the Warriors, ready for a reserve role behind sharpshooters Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. Thompson being available for Game 2 could be huge for the Cavs, as he offers the size and aggressiveness that could help them dominate the boards.

The Warriors made the announcement less than an hour before Sunday's game.

Over the last twenty-four hours, the news about Drake fathering a child with a mysterious lady has filtered the air. The diss came with an older photograph of Drake in blackface and wearing a Jim Crow t-shirt.

Kerr said the Warriors can't just sit back and let James attack, and the Warriors need a better effort on the backboards after getting outrebounded 53-38 in Game 1.

"We maybe could be talking in a different way right now, but it is what it is." he said. Green noticed Thompson limping on Saturday, but Thompson insisted he "felt good" and that he will play.

He's missing his sixth straight postseason contest with a bone bruise in his left knee.

"It's just sore and stiff", said Thompson, who according to a Yahoo Sports report is dealing with a left high ankle sprain.

Coach Steve Kerr remains optimistic the 2015 Finals MVP will play at some point in the series. So you can say (that) somebody (should) meet you at the bus, (but) I'm not (going).

You marvel at the shooting, but the Warriors won because they complemented it with a defensive performance that limited the Cavaliers to 34.8 percent shooting in the first half and 41.1 percent for the game. They played great defense, and he pulled up and hit a three in your face.

"He has gotten better gradually, but there's no way of knowing for sure at this point", Kerr said.
