WWDC 2018: When and how to watch Apple's keynote live from India

According to several reports, Apple plans to announce new versions of its many operating systems, including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

The iOS 12 will see Apple going all in on augmented reality with multiple updates to its ARKit framework that was released previous year. The keynote address will begin at 10 a.m. PDT.

Users on Android or Windows devices can use the latest version of Chrome or Firefox browser to watch the live stream.

There's also a report from the Wall Street Journal (paywall) suggesting Apple is looking to get back into the advertising business. You'll need to have your phone or iPad running iOS 10 or above software, while if you're using an Apple computer you'll need macOS Sierra 10.12 to be able to livestream the event.

The tech giant Apple seems to have one more surprise for both developers and avid fans.

Additionally, Apple will also likely show off the newest version of its desktop operating system, macOS.

Reports in the United States suggest Apple could introduce a tool to help users better manage their time on their devices as part of efforts to improve digital well-being.

These features have been expected for months. Apple traditionally releases it new phone models in September, but the first iPhone SE was launched in March 2016, though at a separate event.

Meanwhile, if there is a chance for Apple to reveal a new MacBook Pro, Forbes contributor Ewan Spence expects that the company is likely to make any remarkable announcement related to the MacBook Air.

If you own a Mac there's could be some new features coming to your desktop with macOS nearly certain to get a refresh. There could also be new watch faces including a Pride-themed one that's already leaked and fitness features. And with Google upping the ante as Duplex that allows Google Assistant to make appointments for you, Siri has a lot of catching up to do. As per the rumours, it is also expected to add Siri support for the email and navigation to HomePod. In April, it poached a top Google executive to lead its machine learning and AI efforts. Improvements are on the way for video calls and sending Animojis too. The fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV owners will have to download the Apple Events app from the App Store of tvOS for this.

The change, to be included in Apple's iOS 12, will allow iPhones - which have contained NFC-capable chips since the iPhone 6 and 6s were introduced in 2014 - to unlock doors with similar NFC chips as well as talk to certain transit agencies to pay fares, the report said. Apple will have a two hour keynote for the WWDC event today in San Jose, California. Given that there are so many things happening every moment these days, there's no obvious subject for him to dig into.

It wouldn't just be the CEO speaking from his heart. More information about the event is available on the official WWDC website.

According to Reuters, however, that has sparked privacy concerns, if AR apps become commonplace, people will be scanning their homes and other personal spaces routinely, developers say. Apple is in a unique position to toot its own horn.
