Upcoming Assassin’s Creed is set in Ancient Greece

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey leaks: is this the sequel to Origins?

Ubisoft has released a video hinting at the upcoming release of its new game, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which would become the latest chapter in a long saga about a fictional millennia-old confrontation between secret societies.

The teaser video shows a character in a Spartan-style helmet kicking another similarly attired character off a cliff. In the trailer, one character kicks another off a cliff in a handsome setting that looks to be placed on the Mediterranean. Yesterday the title of the successor to Assassin's Creed Origins and the potential setting, Ancient Greece, leaked out with a photo of a keychain.

Based on the small amount of material we've seen, Odyssey would seem to take place, paradoxically, centuries before Origins' 1st-century BCE timeframe.

This development has caused numerous game's fans to rejoice.

Ubisoft would appear to have been spurred into revealing the existence of Assassin's Creed Odyssey by the same premature listing on Walmart Canada's website that revealed the existence of Bethesda's Rage 2.

LeBron James Asked The Cavs Not To Trade Kyrie Irving
But, his National Basketball Association finals-best 51 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists weren't enough to beat the Warriors. Tristan Thompson got ejected for doing something, presumably, although it's unclear what exactly that something was.

Two of those sources confirmed that Odyssey will be out during Ubisoft's 2019 fiscal year, which ends on 31 March 2019. If this is true, it means the series is going back to an annual schedule. Ubisoft will release further details at E3.

According to Schreier's sources, Odyssey will add the series' first-ever dialogue options, taking a cue from RPGs like Mass Effect and Fallout.

Ubisoft confirmed the title after a picture of a keyring circulated online (via French site Jeuxvideo), showing the game's logo and teasing the Greek setting. Or will Odyssey release a little later, perhaps during the early months of 2019?
