Graphic details in Harvey Weinstein sexual assault complaint

Harvey Weinstein has denied having non-consensual sex with anyone

Sivan was one of more than 80 women who have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment, assault, and/or rape. Weinstein was arraigned Friday on rape and other charges in the first criminal prosecution to result from the wave of allegations against him that sparked a national reckoning over sexual misconduct.

The reports surfaced with the Manhattan District Attorney's office and NY police department have been investigating Weinstein for months.

The disgraced producer was spotted walking into the Manhattan police station with two books under his arm; Elia Kazan: A Biography, about the influential film and theater director from the late forties through the sixties, and Something Wonderful: Rodgers and Hammerstein's Broadway Revolution. Today the former producer surrendered for two of the allegations against him, and was released on $1 million cash bail.

In a statement, The Women's March said they hope the courage of the women who came forward will "continue to inspire others to break their silence". "The arrest and ensuing charges are the result of a joint investigation between the NYPD and the Manhattan District Attorney's Office".

The accusations, first reported by The New York Times and The New Yorker past year, gave rise to the #MeToo movement in which hundreds of women have publicly accused powerful men in business, government, and entertainment of misconduct. Weinstein may have wanted to have sex, but didn't assume from the get-go he would have to rape the woman.

"I would point out what the women and certainly that New Yorker story that Lucia Evans was featured in accusing Harvey Weinstein was not the casting couch", Farrow said.

Mr Weinstein, 66, also agreed to wear a Global Positioning System tracker and to surrender his passport after turning himself in to police on Friday. "We urge additional survivors and others with relevant information to call our Sex Crimes Hotline at 212-335-9373", District Attorney Cy Vance said.

Anticipation grows in Malaysia as Anwar Ibrahim's fate is decided
Previously, the charismatic Anwar headed various ministries under Mahathir's tutelage in the 1990s, earning praise as a reformer. However, on Tuesday the prime minister said he planned to stay on for "an initial stage, maybe lasting one or two years".

"In 1997, I was raped by Harvey Weinstein here at Cannes", she said. They did not identify the two women, but said the crimes took place in 2004 and 2013.

"We got you, Harvey Weinstein, we got you", McGowan tweeted during Weinstein's arraignment.

His lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said his client vehemently denied the charges and would fight to get them dismissed. Both happened in NY. Here's what attorney Gloria Allred, who represents several of Weinstein's victims, had to say in a statement.

"Mr. Weinstein has always maintained that he has never engaged in non-consensual sexual behavior with anyone". He must wear an ankle bracelet and can only travel within the NY or CT.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office is now reviewing five investigations into Weinstein - two from the Beverly Hills Police and three from the Los Angeles Police department, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The complaint says that Weinstein had sexual intercourse with the woman, and that she "had clearly expressed her lack of consent to the act".
