Shots Fired At Trump's Miami Golf Course, One Arrested

Police take down active shooting suspect at Trump National Doral Golf Club

The situation of the male suspect, who was taken into an area hospital after being introduced into custody, is unknown. A man shouting about Donald Trump entered the president's south Florida golf course early Friday, draped a flag over a lobby counter and exchanged fire with police before being arrested, police said.

Police explained the suspect pulled the lobby's fire alarm to lure officers inside.

"Again, no known Victims at this time".

Doral Police Chief Hernan Organvidez and Miami-Dade Police Director Juan Perez told reporters that the incident began around 1:30 a.m. with reports of shots being fired at the resort in Northwest Miami-Dade.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement was investigating the shooting involving police, the Miami-Dade Police Department said.

Early reports say a police officer has been shot and the gunman himself was also injured.

World Health Organization plans to eliminate trans-fat from food by 2023
They became popular in the 1950s through 1970s with the discovery of the negative health impacts of saturated fatty acids. Officials believe that their goal can be achieved in five years, as work is already well advanced in several countries.

The president's son, Eric Trump, took to Twitter to thank the police for quickly taking down the threat.

If he wanted to engage police, "he did succeed and he did lose", Perez said. Though the precise phrases have been unclear, Perez stated it was an "anti-Trump sentiment" and the shooter "had an American flag that he did drape over-the-counter".

"If not for the heroic efforts of the police officers that responded today, this individual would've caused a lot of harm", Perez said. Every day they keep our community safe.

An investigation is underway, and will include the FBI, the Secret Service and local police.

The Secret Service issued a statement saying agents from the Miami Field Office were at the scene and working closely with other agencies. According to CBS News, they confirmed that no "protectees were in the Miami region at the time of the incident".

The golf resort beforehand referred to as the Doral Resort & Spa was bought by the Trump Group in 2012.
