NES Classic Back in Stores This June

The NES Classic Edition will return next month

For those unaware, two years ago Nintendo released the NES Classic Edition, a plug-and-play micro-console with 30 classic NES games pre-downloaded onto it. That's a hell of a lot better than the $400 price tags we saw back in the first run of the NES Classic.

Nintendo's Classic Editions have been hard specimens to snag ever since the NES Classic was first released back in 2016.

The NES Classic, which retails for $59.99, was released in fall 2016 before it was succeeded by the SNES Classic in fall 2017. The console, which is a mini-version of the original NES from 1983, will go on sale in the USA from June 29 of 2018.

More importantly it's possible these hypothetical themed consoles may come with new accessories that I desperately need, like a NES Advantage, Zapper (not sure how it would work), or NES Max.

Nintendo also stated the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) Classic Edition, alongside the NES, are predicted to be available at the close of the year. Taking to Twitter, the official Nintendo America account tweeted the console's return along with a release date of June 29th. Regarding the SNES Classic, Nintendo recently made a statement that it already sold almost 5 million units. The return of the device to stores, however, may be part of the reason why Nintendo will not roll out a Nintendo Switch Virtual Console.

The console is selling on Amazon for $228.98 right now, and that's if you want a new one.
